Introduction

The code of conduct helps to empower everyone who contributes to PARCopedia and understand the responsibility we have. Ideally the code of conduct will remind everyone on a respectful dealing with one another and with unclear or difficult decisions/ situations.

 

General principles

The PARCopedia community members agree on the principles of Integrity, Objectivity, Partnership, Professional competence, Due care, Confidentiality, and Professional behaviour in the discussion groups.

 

Rules/ guidelines of behaviour

PARCopedia members commit and hold themselves accountable to a high standard, ensuring that they collaborate, create content and discuss topics by:

  • Showing the utmost benevolence to participants during group discussions
  • Treating every person within the PARCopedia community with respect, regardless of role, position and employer
  • Being inclusive, open, honest, and constructive with one another (fostering an environment of trust)
  • Considering the needs and perspectives of others and how our words and actions might be received
  • Having a positive impact on the PARCopedia involved group members
  • Navigating and avoiding potential conflicts of interests
  • Protecting our communities from harm
  • Keeping people safe and protect privacy (Do not post unauthorised personal information (names, address, phone number, email etc.)

 

Conflicts

Sensitive subjects may result in confrontational or tense conversations. The PARCopedia community agrees on helping and supporting one another breaking up the tension and being aware of differences in values and opinions.

 

Consequences

Repeated misconduct in group discussions can lead to appropriate actions, including, but not limited to, warnings, restrictions, or removal from groups or from PARCopedia platform.
