Acceptance of Terms

By registering, accessing and using PARCopedia, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions.

 

Registration

By registering to PARCopedia, you must provide your real full name and email address.  Existing conflict of interests need to be declared upon registration.

 

Who can use PARCopedia

When people stand behind their opinions and actions, our community is safer and more accountable. For this reason, you must:

  • Provide accurate information about yourself;
  • Only create one account (your own) and use it for personal purposes.
  • not share your password, give access to your social media accounts to others or transfer your account to anyone else (without our permission).

 

User Conduct

Users must engage in respectful and lawful behaviour while using PARCopedia. This includes refraining from posting or uploading any content that is unlawful, misleading, defamatory, obscene, offensive, discriminatory, or infringes upon the rights of others.

You cannot share anything:

  • That breaches these Terms and Conditions
  • That is unlawful, misleading, discriminatory or fraudulent (or assists someone else in using PARCopedia in such a way).
  • That you do not own or have the necessary rights to share.
  • That infringes or violates someone else’s rights, including their intellectual property rights (such as by infringing another’s copyright or trademark, or distributing or selling counterfeit or pirated goods), unless an exception or limitation applies under applicable law.

You may not upload viruses or malicious code, use the services to send spam or do anything else that could disable, overburden, interfere with or impair the proper working, integrity, operation or appearance of our services, systems or Products.

You may not proxy, request or collect usernames or passwords, or misappropriate access tokens.

You may not sell, license or purchase any data obtained from PARCopedia.

You may not misuse any reporting, flagging, dispute or appeals channel, such as by making fraudulent, duplicative or groundless reports or appeals.

 

Copyright and Intellectual Property

Users must respect copyright and intellectual property rights. Do not upload or share any content that violates copyright laws unless you have obtained explicit permission from the copyright holder.

 

Content Ownership

By contributing content to PARCopedia, you grant the owner a non-exclusive, royalty-free, and perpetual license to use, modify, reproduce, and distribute the content within the wiki.

 

Accuracy of Information

While every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the information provided on PARCopedia, its owner and contributors are not responsible for any inaccuracies or errors in the content. Users are encouraged to cross-reference and verify information independently.

 

User Responsibility

Users are responsible for every content they provide in PARCopedia (profiles, discussion groups, and content in the PARCopedia knowledge base). Its owner and contributors are not liable for any loss, damage, or harm resulting from the use of information obtained from PARCopedia.

 

Moderation and Content Removal

PARCopedia´s owner reserves the right to moderate, edit, or remove any content that violates these terms and conditions or is deemed inappropriate, without prior notice.

PARCopedia may contain links to external websites. These links are provided for informational purposes only, and PARCopedia´s owner does not endorse or guarantee the accuracy, validity, or content of these external websites.

 

Privacy

PARCopedia may collect and store personal information from users as outlined in the privacy policy. By using PARCopedia, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as described in the privacy policy.

 

Amendments to Terms and Conditions

PARCopedia´s owner reserves the right to modify or update these terms and conditions at any time. Users will be notified of any changes, and continued use of PARCopedia constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

 

Termination of Access

PARCopedia´s owner reserves the right to terminate or restrict access to PARCopedia for any user who violates these terms and conditions or engages in any activity that disrupts the functionality or security of PARCopedia.

 

Governing Law

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Belgian law, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

 

Updating our Terms and Conditions

We work to improve PARCopedia for our community. As a result, we may need to update these Terms from time to time to promote a safe and secure experience and/or to comply with the applicable law.
